About Us
Trans Unity Coalition Tunisia was created in 2025 after a meeting that was held in Tunisia by a group of Tunisian trans individuals . The coalition is not-for-profit and non-governmental and has no base at the moment , This coalition felt the need to unite to debunk common myths about trans individuals ,offer a clearer better representation ,advocate for equality, justice and individual freedoms.
Our Story
Born out of urgency, rage, and love, our coalition is a response to the escalating violence, state repression, and systemic marginalization faced by trans people in Tunisia and beyond. Too often, our voices are silenced, our identities distorted, and our lives treated as disposable. We refuse to be erased.
Our story is one of resistance but also of radical imagination.
We believe in collective care, self-determination, and transformative joy as tools of survival and healing. We are artists, organizers, lawyers, healers, educators, and storytellers. We work across borders to confront oppression and to create space for life beyond survival.
Through advocacy, cultural work, mutual aid, and political mobilization, we are building a movement shaped by those most impacted and most visionary. We seek to debunk myths about trans people, provide authentic representation, and fight for justice, equality, and individual freedoms.
